How it works
How scoring works
A Pubgolf scorecard holds each hole, its set drink, its par (the target number of sips) and every player's strokes. Beat par with fewer sips, add up the round, and the lowest total wins. Score it live on your phones or on the printable sheet, whichever suits your group.
Not sure which to pick?
Just after the scoring? The online card keeps it live on every phone, the printable is a PDF for pen and paper, and the custom card lets you build your own first. Want the pubs picked for you too? Browse the city editions.

What's on a Pubgolf scorecard?
A Pubgolf scorecard is what turns a pub crawl into a round of golf. It lists every hole in order, the set drink at each one, the par you are aiming for, and a column for each player's strokes. Add it up at the last hole and you have a winner. Par is the target number of sips for that drink. The sips you actually take are your strokes, so finishing in fewer sips than par puts you under. Nobody has to empty a glass to score well, because the card rewards the steady player rather than the quickest one. A nine hole round suits an afternoon and eighteen makes a full day or night of it. Both fit the same card, so your group can decide on the day. Which one you want depends on how you like to keep score. The online Pubgolf scorecard runs live in your phone browser and totals the whole group up as you play. The printable Pubgolf scorecard is a PDF you print and fill in with a pen, which suits groups who would rather stay off their phones. The custom scorecard sits between the two: you build the card first with your own pubs, drinks and rules, then print it.
Scorecards FAQ
What is a Pubgolf scorecard?
A Pubgolf scorecard holds each hole, its set drink, its par and every player's strokes, so you can keep score across the round and crown a winner. Your sips are your strokes, fewer than par beats par, and the lowest total wins.
What is the difference between the online and printable scorecard?
The online scorecard is live and shared: everyone taps in their sips and the totals update on all your phones with no app. The printable version is a sheet you fill in with a pen. Both keep the exact same score.
Do you need an app for the online scorecard?
No. It runs in any phone browser from the link you get, so there is nothing to download and everyone joins the same card the same way.
How do par and strokes work?
Each hole has a par, the target number of sips for its drink. The sips you take are your strokes. Finish under par to gain, over to drop back, and the lowest total across the round wins.
There's no edition for my city, what now?
Build your own route in any UK town with the Route Builder, or see the full list on Pubgolf by City.
How many holes are on a Pubgolf scorecard?
Nine or eighteen, the same as a round of golf. Nine suits an afternoon and eighteen makes a full day or night of it. Both fit on the same card, so you can decide when you set off.
Can I write my own pubs on the scorecard?
Yes. The printable card starts blank and you add the stops yourself. The custom card takes it further: you type in your pubs, drinks and pars before you print, along with your own rules.
